What Is Kangen Water?

Kangen water is ionized alkaline water produced by Enagic’s kangen water machines. Kangen machines use a process called electrolysis to produce this hydrogen and antioxidant rich water. That’s the gist of it.

Now that it’s out of the way, here’s a quick intro to the concept of alkaline water and talk specifically about it’s benefits.

In case you were wondering, Kangen Water is NOT a scam. Enagic is an alkaline water ionizer producer based in Japan, who uses Multi Level Marketing as their sales system. This is how people who purchase a machine can become distributors and then sell those machines and earn a commission from their sales. They can also build a team and treat it as a business.

I personally learned about it after reading this kangen water website, where they talk about a variety of benefits, and I felt like I would really enjoy drinking this water. Low and behold, I was RIGHT!

There are many testimonials out there talking about this water, but there are also a ton of competitors who like to bash the company, so if you ever read about Enagic or Kangen Water online, make sure you understand what bias the writer might have and whether or not they are trying to sell you a different water ionizer machine. I for example, love the water and own a Kangen machine, so that’s my bias.

All I want to do is spread the work about this amazing water and let as many people as possible know that it’s out there.

One of the ways kangen water helps your body, is by making it more alkaline, rather than acidic. Just FYI, cancer cells and tumors are acidic according to this article.

Here’s a little chart paint a picture about acidity and alkalinity:

PH Scale shows which elements are alkaline and which elements are acidic. Kangen Water is more alkaline than tap water

Kangen Water Benefits

So, about the kangen water benefits… Below are a few that I and others have experienced:

  • Increased hydration
  • Ease of drinking kangen water
  • Better sleep
  • Increased energy
  • Cleansing after about a month of use
  • Detoxification
  • Mind Clarity

And much more!

One of the most common ways for distributors to promote the machines is to set up a live presentation, there are also many videos online, I’ll post one below for you to check out.

During these presentations, folks will show you different tests performed on the water and gather readings such as ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) with an ORP meter.

Here’s a quick explainer video where they touch on cancer:

Kangen Water Machines

There are various types of Kangen water machines available on the North Las Vegas, Nevada market, which can range from low-end models that cost a few thousand dollars to high-end models that can run into multiple thousands of dollars. Most of Enagic’s line-up consists of Leveluk K8, which is the top of the line home use machine. The SD501 and SD501 Platinum, which are the most well known ones, due to their time-tested technology and durability.

The SD501U which is the under-counter version that’s super convenient and finally the biggest and the baddest, the commercial grade Leveluk Super 501 beast of a machine, which has the most platinum-coated plates! A lot of the information about Enagic’s water ionizers came from multiple sources, which do a deep dive into the Kangen machines and their benefits. Learn more about each of these machines below.

Leveluk K8 & SD501

Now that you know about kangen water and have a better understanding of it’s benefits, let’s talk about the machines.

The top residential-use machines are Leveluk K8 and Leveluk SD501. Both are fantastic devices.

Leveluk K8

Leveluk K8 is currently the top of the line home-use machine. It looks great, has several handy features like a touch screen, auto shut-off, multiple languages, extra platinum-coated titanium plate and much more. Leveluk K8 costs around $5000 and is Enagic’s top of the line water ionizer.

Pros:

  • Clean design
  • Extra languages
  • Higher water flow rate
  • Has 8 platinum-coated plates

Cons:

  • Higher Price

Leveluk SD501

Leveluk SD501 was Enagic’s flagship machine, until they brought K8 to the market. This is the OG.

It has a more “medical” look and design, and is the machine that lots of celebrities have. Leveluk SD 501 cost right around $4000, so there’s a significant difference in price between the two machines.

Pros:

  • Lower price
  • Produces great kangen water
  • Tried and true

Cons:

  • Less attractive design that K8
  • Only has 7 platinum-coated plates

Personally, our family has the SD501, but certainly understand why people would get the K8.

SD501 Platinum & SD501U

There are several variants of the SD501 machine that are currently for sale. Each one is meant for a different setting.

The SD501 Platinum has the same interior components and functionality, but on the outside it looks much different. The idea behind this new design was to match the stainless steel look of high end kitchen appliances and have some uniformity, otherwise the SD501 would stick out like a sore thumb.

The SD501U on the other hand is completely different. The idea was to create a high quality water ionizer for smaller kitchens, which is exactly what SD501U is. It’s a standard SD501 base with the same specs, but it comes equipped with a faucet and a display to select the type of water. This model is most commonly purchased for smaller apartments and condos, where kitchens tend to have less countertop real estate.

Super 501 & JR Models

These models are very different and some would even call them polar opposites.

The Super 501 is the biggest and most powerful machine that Enagic makes. It’s advertised as a large family or commercial model, and it certainly fits the bill. It’s able to produce 2 alkaline streams of water at the same time, since it has 12 platinum coated ionization plates, which is almost double of SD501. If you have a very large family or will use it for commercial purposes, you can’t go wrong with the best that is Super 501.

As for Leveluk JR IV, I’m not really sure why they make it, since it is not able to produce water that is as potent as SD501 for example. It has the least amount of plates out of any machine in the lineup, but it still costs a couple thousand dollars. So even though I understand that not everyone can afford a higher end machine, I’d still recommend going with at least the SD501 and get the most benefits!

About North Las Vegas, Nevada

North Las Vegas is a suburban city in Clark County, Nevada, United States, in the Las Vegas Valley. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 216,961, with an estimated population of 251,974 in 2019. The city was incorporated on May 1, 1946. It is the 4th most populous city in the acknowledge of Nevada, and the 77th most populous city in the United States.

During the 1860s, Conrad Kiel customary a ranch at the modern-day intersection of Carey Street and Losee Road in what would be North Las Vegas. In 1917, libertarian Thomas L. Williams of Eureka, Utah visited the Las Vegas Valley, back once Las Vegas, Las Vegas Indian Colony, and Arden were the and no-one else entities in the valley. He did not espouse of Las Vegas, perhaps because of its rowdiness (he was a Christian, or at least went to church), or because Las Vegas’ attempts at municipal control higher than its citizens. However, he was deferential by the abundance of the valley’s artesian water and potential for agriculture. Two years future in 1919, he moved together with his family (his wife and three sons) to a 160-acre fragment of house a mile from Las Vegas. That year, he founded his town, developing the town by building for himself and his relatives a house, sinking a well, grading roads, extending capability lines, and forming a system of irrigation ditches. Williams believed that churches and church people should direct the supplementary town, and appropriately encouraged churches to purchase property in the town. In 1919, the federally enforced Volstead Act was passed, which prohibited the sale, possession, and consumption of alcohol. Since there was no local law adjacent to alcohol, and because of a system of tunnels that would attach the town’s underground speakeasies, the town attracted bootleggers from Las Vegas, although Williams was initially unaware of this. This gave his town the nickname of “Old Town”. When he did discover it, he stuck taking into account agriculture for his economic purposes.

In 1924, Williams built his second house that was the first matter of the town. It was named the Oasis Auto Court, and it contained a grocery store, a campground, a publish office, a community center, and a telephone. At the time, it was the town’s unaided telephone. Between 1928 and 1935, a large influx of workers from the Hoover Dam arranged in Williams’ town, as Las Vegas was intolerant towards them. In 1932, the town board was created. That similar year, the town’s first grammar school, Washington School, opened. A proper proclaim had not nevertheless been received for the town, and Williams did not want it named after himself, which benefit to the town board voting for either “North Las Vegas” or “Vegas Verdes” (which means “Green Meadows” in Spanish). “Vegas Verdes” won, and that became the herald for the town for a few months. George Hansen, a town board supporter who voted for the name “North Las Vegas”, noticed that at one town board meeting, two members who voted the name “Vegas Verdes” were absent. The vote for a herald came gone again, and “North Las Vegas” won. In 1939, Williams died of stroke, and that left North Las Vegas to the ruling of the town board. An elementary school, and a road, were eventually named after him. During World War II, the Las Vegas Aerial Gunnery School opened in North Las Vegas. It would eventually become Nellis Air Force Base. North Las Vegas was the subject of many annexation attempts from Las Vegas. On May 1, 1946, North Las Vegas was incorporated as a city. In 1957, North Las Vegas planned to annex an Place to its southeast, and in response, the Clark County Commission created the town of Sunrise Manor to prevent additional annexation attempts.

On May 13, 1964, First Lieutenant Raynor Lee Hebert, a student pilot from Port Arthur, Texas, took off from Nellis Air Force Base at nearly 2:00 PM on an F-105 fighter jet. He radioed his flight leader axiom that he could not retract his nose gear, and so could not gain altitude. He was at a height tall enough to bail out, but too low that if he did, he would’ve hit Lincoln Elementary School, which was in session taking into consideration 800 students. He kept the aircraft nose stirring long plenty to pass the school, and eventually hit nine residential houses on Lenwood Avenue. The smash killed Hebert and four civilians. Hebert Memorial Park was created by the City of North Las Vegas with a plaque at the crash site to commemorate Hebert.
